Find the tempo and key of any song
Tempo and key are detected during processing and shown on the track. The metronome sits on the detected beats, and the key can be shifted to suit you right there.
Drummers need the BPM to set a click before playing along to a drumless track; everyone else needs it to know what tempo to start learning at. The key saves you working it out by ear so you can play in the right tuning from the start. Both are computed from the recording itself.
Tempo and key detection is part of the processing, not a separate button: along with the numbers you get the stems, a metronome on the beats and a player where you can change the key and the tempo independently.
What you can do
BPM from the recording
The tempo is measured from the song itself; the beat grid drives the metronome, which stays locked even when slowed down.
Key
Tonic and mode are shown on the track. Want a different one — transpose by the number of semitones you need.
Stems included
Vocals, drums, bass, guitar, keys — separately; mute your part and play along with the rest.
How to do it
- 1
Upload a song or paste a link
MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A or OGG up to 200 MB — or a link to a YouTube, RuTube or VK video. Sign in with a code sent to your email, no password.
- 2
Wait a few minutes
The processing runs on our side. You can close the tab — we'll email you a link when the stems are ready.
- 3
Read the tempo and key
They're shown in the track header. Turn on the metronome — it follows the detected beats.
FAQ
How accurate is the BPM?
For songs with a steady beat, to the nearest whole beat. For recordings with a drifting tempo the average is shown, while the metronome follows the actual beats rather than the average.
Does it show major or minor?
Tonic and mode, for example A minor or F major. For songs with a modulation, the main key.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Everything runs in the browser, on a computer or a phone: upload, processing and the stem player are all on the site.
How many stems do I get, and which files work?
Six stems: vocals, drums, bass, guitar, keys and everything else — many services give four. MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A and OGG files up to 200 MB work, or a YouTube, RuTube or VK Video link up to 20 minutes long. Download any stem, or any mix of them, as one WAV file.
Do I need to sign up?
Not to try it: upload a song right on this page — the stems are ready in 2–3 minutes and you can listen. To listen without interruptions, download and keep your tracks, sign in with a code sent to your email or with Google or Yandex — free, no password.
Is it free?
Yes: 3 tracks a day, all stems and the full player, no card needed. Tracks are kept for 3 days. Pro gives 15 tracks a day, 30-day storage and unlimited Quality mode.
